hey so i just got here and I'm pretty sure this is probably one of the coolest sites i have ever seen. so yah. I havent been lock picking for very long, and I am not exactly the most "proficient" lock picker so i pretty much just want to get better at it so i can actually pick a lock.

New here as of a couple of days, im from England and just starting out as abit of a hobbie, just purchased the 14 peice set from lockpicks, hopefully be here within a couple of weeks, nice to meet you all and hopsefully be able to pick all of your brains at some point,

Hello everyone.

I'm a "new" picker that has found my way here after approximatly one months practice, Been training with various smaller padlocks with some success.

I hope this forum will puch my training and development forward. I've had an interest in learning this trade for years and recently I decided to take it up when a friend mentioned wanting to get a old safe opened without damaging it. Will have access to it next vinter, so the more insight i get the better

I posted a hello I am new in the general chatter yesterday. But any who, here I am my name is Joey and I am new into lock picking/manipulation I've always sort of been into since I was about 5 and a locksmith started my mothers friends car with some sort of tooth pick (yea I said tooth pick) it was an old car. Very cool stuff since then I have been into but not that I am older I can really put time into learning. I've already ordered some tools which should be here on Friday. Well, sorry I just rambled on but just wanted to say hello to all those that I haven't meant and a hello again to those I've already spoken to. Take care

I'm new to the page but not to the business. I've seen it mentioned in a lot of different places so I thought I'd stop by. I'm an institutional locksmith at a community college here in Florida. I've been picking since I was just a wee lad, and I started doing rekeys at Ace Hardware when I was 18. Then I moved on to an actual locksmith company where I did residential automotive and commercial calls and realized that (aside from lockouts) I prefer the industrial/commercial side of the business. I look forward to the discussions and maybe I'll see some of you Florida locksmiths at the Serlac convention this year.

I've been doing locksmithing for about 10 years now! I've been helping locksmith students for 2 years at my school while working as a student-aide! My best accomplishment would be making my own masterkeying program using MS Excel!

Hi. Im not particularly good at introductions.

Im an IT security specialist who's evolving in to building security, personal safety and the social engineering sides of life that make things difficult for people and businesses to keep stuff where it should be.

Locks are fascinating for me and having purchased some beautiful pick sets and making my own for the past year or so, I found this site.

Good job, I hope to give some input and learn something from the pros!

Hi!

Found this forum b/c I recently put new locks in my house. Had a front door that had a gap. Fixing the gap turned into reinforced doorframes, new locks and security tint...guess I get carried away sometimes

I actually bought some picks probably 10 years ago and read a little 20 page book on lockpicking. Got my front door open in about 30 seconds. Said "huh, thats all there is to it" and put 'em away. Now that I see all these interesting locks to try I may dig them out!

As an aside, I'm a puzzlemaker for a living, and love to make puzzle boxes. Here's the last one I made - it opens quicker for right handed people...can you figure out why?
