Anyone tried the 'KGB' set?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Anyone tried the 'KGB' set?

It looked kind of "batman"-ish. More of a novelty than practical, but it's a good idea in theory.

I'd love to have a belt set but my wife told me if I put one more thing on my belt she would not be seen with me anymore. I guess 2 cell phones, all my marshall keys, and multitool are enough for her. Come to think of it I do wear out a belt about every 4 months...........

dude, I'm the same way. I keep so much crap in my pockets and on my belt it ain't even funny. I literally have a tool for any occasion on my person at all times. Even my own parents started calling my McGeyver.

lcokpick belt case

Postby bosadabiz » 24 Jun 2008 23:45

I'm looking for some good ideas for a belt-worn lockpick case. Preferably something that sits flat against the wearer. Mag cases tend to be a little bulky for this application, though perhaps Uncle Mike's would have something?

My leatherman multi tool case holds 5 of my homebrew picks almost perfectly. I used a cheap case for throwing knives that may be what your looking for. It held about 6 picks and a couple of tensions tools. It was barely noticeable when on a belt. it looked a lot like this

this is the actual set it came from

yes i would agree that it looks a little gimmicky
handles look nice tho and the belt case is cool too

I have around here the same set but in the hpc tri fold wallet. They are cumbersome to use due to the small handles but in a jam it is better than looking for paperclips, etc.

The KGB picks from hpc look like the grip might be too small to get a comfortable hold on. I like the pen pick set I just got from Lock Masters it's actually really quick and easy to change the blades and the pocket clip is the tension wrench. Before I got this (as a gift)I considered getting the KGB or credity card picks over the pen style but it is very stealth and quality material. Plus it doesn't take up prime belt real estate 8)
