My most used picks are the short hook and city rake... Your list is a good starting point. However with all those picks in mind I'd buy a set with a leather case that 's real handy. I also prefer reenforced pick handles. The ones without reenforced handles seem flimsy in my hands and they spring easily. If money is not an issue buy better picks maybe a complete set with a case.

Save some money you probably don't need these.

half-ball (unless you plan on working with wafer locks)

key extractor (Plan on breaking some keys? i've used one only oince and that was when I broke a key off on purpose to see how well they worked)

small diamond (unless your talking about a half diamond you probably won't need one unless you are picking wafer locks)

Basically what you want as a hobbyist is a bunch of hooks and/or half diamonds... then maybe an S rake, W rake, comb/city rake... half ball is for wafers... but the half diamonds do have good use in pin and tumbler locks... maybe some light raking, and some just prefer them for SPP.
But yeah... at least a range of hooks might be nice - I tend to use the biggest hook in can for each lock... 5 is a good number for me =D

I get by with a short hook, half diamond, W rake, c-rake, and an L-rake.

To start with though, all I personally would recommend is a hook, a diamond, and a c-rake or w-rake and a tension wrench or two.

But really, as has been said many times, it's up to you in the end. You'll find a pick you really like and will quite likely use that the most.

Hope this helps,

I say trade the half ball for a half diamond and you should be set.
