UK Lockies - Re Yellow Pages Advertising

UK Lockies - Re Yellow Pages Advertising

Postby Malc » 27 Jun 2008 5:02

I've got the Yellow Pages rep coming to see me again next week to tie up my advertising for 2009.

What I am wanting to know is are the prices likely to be more negotiable ( bearing in mind the current climate ) for next year.

I've always been able to negotiate a good deal with Thomson Local and the BT Phone book but not so with Yellow Pages in the last few years.

I increase my advertising spend each year with YP and it does generate good business, but I don't want to have to keep increasing the spend anymore.

Anyone out there been able to turn the screw at little with YP for 2009 advertising ????

Prepare for three times as many call centres advertising this year and the usual honest guv you will be near the front.

Couldn't get any money off but did manage to get a free text only ad in another category - not much but better than nothing. Always worth asking.
