ToolyMcgee's Picks

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I'll probably post pics on here every couple days, so I figured I'd just make the one thread and be done with it. Anyway here are the links for today.

Straight on
The Angle

All the credit for the shrink wrap over wire handles goes to criminalhate, as I have copied it directly from him. Thanks again for the idea.

Peace.

Yes, they are for sale. Pretty much everything I post here will be. If you have a certain set you are looking for let me know. At the very least it will give me a theme I can stick to for a whole set...

The top two are criminalhate's handle style. I can only take credit for the picks themselves.

Mind taking a shot next to something for size reference?

I don't mind, but it will be a min. The small offset diamond is 4, the larger is 4 1\8 and the long reach is 4 1\4. I made them to be pocket sized, but all of the picks will reach a 7th pin.

Time for me to borrow an idea back from you =)

Next payday i'm going to buy some of the clear shrink tubing and show some colorful wire under it.

Good looking pics =)

Feel free, just know that the red wire hook in that picture is secured differently. Clear shrink tube over wire looks like the short hook 2nd down. Image
or the top handle Image
I especially like the blue on blue because of the way it got all melty.
Here is a different photo of two of the green set plus a mini diamond that works great, but the look is just off to me. The picture shows the rounded edges that are on all of my picks because the glare is so bright from the noon day sun it temporarily blinded me. The large dark spot on the hook however; is actually just a flat spot reflecting my black shirt. Anyway, I'll post the pics that go with those handles later. So, lata.

Pricing has to do with how long it takes me to finish, and how well they work for me. I have no one else to test them.

Schuyler, I still have plenty to post. If you want something specific I'll make it. I have the time, and when it's done I'll post it. I'd hate to sell a couple thousand post member something he didn't want.

Please PM me if you have a $ amount offer on a set. If I have more than one offer I'll post it in the buy/sell as this is the wrong forum for bidding.

Makes sense to me. I'll keep my eyes out over the week or so, see what sets you're posting, and look at my own kit, see what I'd like to fill it out with.

In general I collect homebrew tools, though I use everything I collect, and I'd love to have a couple more pieces for the collection before Defcon, if not HOPE.

I'll keep watching this thread and drop you a PM when I know exactly what I'd like, or if I see something in particular.

They're really nice looking picks.
