if you are concerned with the metal slipping out, you could always make it a security pick handle i.e. serrated or spool etc.

What I did was made the handle end of the wiper inserte like a really small tension wrench so the end will not come out at all like a L shape

Fimo sculpy etc available at art supply stores,

I watched a "how its made" show on discovery cable channel, (possibly available online) yesterday, they were making sculped candles,

you could do something very similiar if you took severl colors of fimo and rolled it to thin sheets, then press the sheets together, (avoid bubbles) so you have different colored layers, then you could cut into it and expose the layers.

If you see the candle sculpting thing, you'll get what Im talking about, you could even press type into one of the layers or all of them so it can be exposed when cut or sanded into.

incentive to watch the show, it also included making modern one armed bandits, also called slot machines.

Sure - but you introduce new slippage points and really, bending the end slightly is a very easy, quick and effective means of solving the problem.

You cook it at 200 F 250 F I find its still good
