so i've been away for a bit, still practicing, getting a little better, but life's been too hectic to keep up here, but, this was to good to not share.

papercraft locks. probably great for beginners to get the idea of things.

I might have to have that.

Then again, at the exchange rate it will probably be $265.87.

I just read this on Blackbag and had to go buy them. It's roughly $10USD

For that price, I think it's a cool addition to a collection.

Also, it seems as this is a small company basically run by one guy. The pdf documents all say this at the bottom:

"Please do not make illegal copies of this model, it is very cheap to buy from our website and almost all of the money goes to feed and clothe my family :-) Rob Ives"

I have certainly spent $10 on worse things.

Those look pretty sweet, especially since you can buy them individually, at $5 each, that's not bad seeing you can make as many as you like.

I'd buy that, if I had the money

I forgot to mention the $10 was for all three plus a "Locksmithing Manual" that really doesn't contain anything useful, but is a basic overview of the locking mechanisms that are demonstrated in the models.

I haven't started building mine yet.

Check out his other stuff, too. I like the "logic goats."

$10 is a small price to pay for what looks like a great educational tool for my son...

So, has anyone managed to pick one of these ?
What tools did you use and how, hope this is not advanced material!

I was thinking The Times newspaper might work, but may be a little light, perhaps a color magazine may be better :-)

I'm interested! Let us know how good they work for you and how interesting they are. For $10, I might bite.
