The guts of a master 220

Postby TANGO » 5 Jul 2008 22:41

I've just acquired this old master 220 lock. When I pulled it apart I was amazed at how many parts there were. I quickly realized it would take a while to put it back together!

Anyway I had to use some grease to hold the balls in place on the table, pull out the spring under the ball table(spring not shown). In one motion I had to hold down the hasp to place the hasp retainer pin and insert the balls and plate. When that was done I hald to reset the spring and turn the table 180 degrees and insert the plug. Now the lock was locked but the plug loose. I had to unlock it to insert the allen screw to finish it off.
Since I didn't have the key I bumped it open to finally add the allen screw!

I'm not about to open that thing again! :D

Ha! no way it took me over 2 hours to figure out how to reassemble that thing but I must say the pins are nothing special with only 4 pins in the cylinder.
