In Canada the police don't really mind as long as your not up to trouble like in a store after they close or in a dark ally. You will come a cross a few cops that might try to give you trouble but its rare you might even come a cross a cop whos board and they are just looking to bust some kids for the power trip. I have talked to a few cops and they said they would only take the picks from you if you were up to trouble. To be safe I would only take my picks with me to go to a friends or something like that. They would also be in my trunk in my tool box. I also keep a 2 pick set in my walet for emerginces but my main set stays at home unless I'm going some where to use them.
