when speed counts...manual or snapgun?

I know how fast you pick a lock depends on how proficient you are with your tools, but I was wondering if one was highly skilled with both manual picks (i.e. Southord MPXS-14) and a snapgun (i.e. EZ Snap LAT-17 snapgun or a Brockage pick gun), which could typically open a pin/tumbler lock faster? i know every lock is different, but i am talking about on the whole. thanks

thanks for the reply toomush but i was talking about snapguns instead of electric pick guns. "and a snapgun (i.e. EZ Snap LAT-17 snapgun or a Brockage pick gun)"

cheers

Hard one to answer, depends on the lock. I would say the pick gun may win the race more often, simply because the learning curve for that particular lock is not an issue. Some times you can manually pick a new to you lock in a few seconds, but realistically you normally have to find the pins setting order. The snap gun doesnt care, it sends all pins up at the same time and by working on the tension, opens the lock. Takes out the manual variable of going pin to pin.

I think the fastest tool is a 24v Hammerdrill.

About 75 miles south of where you will be, Homer. Moving to Soldotna for work or just to move?

Ahhh Homer, Halibut fishing capital of the world... and a good micro-brewery also 8-)

Just to move. I have spent alot of time there in the Soldotna, Keni area. Love it there. Funny I feel more at home there than anyware I have ever lived. Plus I have family there also. So I am moving as soon as I settle things here.
