So I ordered the Falle copies from Southern Specialities......They arrived here in the UK in about a week, and are just great! I'm not sure whether they've improved their finishing technique since the first posts of this thread, but they're excellent now! Don't get me wrong, these are no substitute for a highly polished homemade pick, but they're very nice. :D

Seeing as how this thread got bumped, I can personally attest that I am very satisfied with the Southern Specialties order I just received. I didn't go for the Falle style picks--saw a few video reviews saying that they were too flexible. I've been working with some SouthOrd picks, and a few home made ones from street sweeper bristles, and love the new Southern Specialties set I received. I'm still working on getting the basic skills down, and have noticed a good deal more consistency with the thicker corrugated handles. The Offset Diamond always seems to get me back on track when I'm having an off day. Overall, I think it's a great company concidering their low prices, and good quality.

I can't say anything about their normal pick sets, but i did order the plastic jackknife. It's pretty nice, but some of the picks with a taper from the pivot joint to the pick end tend to get stuck firmly into the plastic when opened, only to slowly dig into the plastic as you pick. The aluminum one would probably be a better product.

I do like how you can take it apart and remove/insert custom picks. Pretty nifty.

Just saying.

I have the aluminum jackknife pickset and think its worth the money. I ordered a few extra picks for the jack knife and one of the picks was the worng design. They let me keep it and sent me the right one free of charge right away. So far they are the fastest store for shipping also. I ordered from them twice, both on sunday evening and the items arrived by wednesday. They did not give me any hassle of not sending to a P.O. box either.
