I'm curious how the lock helps fire fighters to do their job better.
There's probably a universal fire bypass key.

If you can't open their door, no need to try to save them!
But in all seriousness, I'd like to know that as well. The bypass key is the only thing I can think of.

Depends what Abloy and what s it turning, but in my door you only turn 180 degrees and operate the handle to open the door (LC100 lock set).

If paule doesn't post again by Monday, this thread is getting trashed for the transparent marketing ploy it is.

Reading through this thread reveals things that would make me dodge this product, so I would not call it marketing

Drill protection? I think not. Let remember ladies and gentlemen that drill protection not only applies to drilling the shear line, but ALSO drilling for screws to be tapped and screwed allowing means of pulling the lock plug. If this can be done, then potential physical means of manipulating the bolt or interior thumb turn may be applied.
Not only this, but the outside trim, housing the cylinder is also lacking in sufficient material, possibly easily rendering to punching and striking attacks to the face, once again, conceivably giving access to the bolt itself.
Kicking is not the only method of entry for vandals and thieves. Picking, Pulling, Prying, Punching, Shearing, Twisting, all these and more are just some of the ways one could conceive to bypass such a device.
Bottom Line: For the price, I would never buy nor recommend this lock to a customer due to its lack of the UL437 listing.
Although the UL437 listing is somewhat lacking due to recent actions, it is still a standard in the lock manufacturing industry, and something we should all strive to follow, and update.
Ps, if this is a marketing ploy, please update your sorry product. I DO take offense to such a device, due to the handful of police officers and 'experts' who market this product as secure. Indeed, all you have done is create a strong strike plate, used on a solid frame. It does not surprise me that NASA endorses this, because they too are solidly lacking in funding.
