Southord stainless steel handles

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

Southord stainless steel handles

I was trying to find some nice picks to improve my set sometime and was wondering what you guys thought about the southord steel handles. Is it worth the extra 2-3 dollars?

Well they are way better than the ones with no handles, I can't stand those things!

I agree. However, it depends on where you live, and whether you do picking outside. One member commented on picking locks outside in Canada, and how cold metal handles can get. Many people like plastic handles. However, I think most people agree that some sort of handle feels better than just a thin blade in your hand, although they don't "carry" as well, due to the extra thickness.

used to feel the same way about handle less picks but once I got used to some new ones I got, they really weren't too bad.

I have both types and I would say its worth the extra money if you have it but if you dont have the money I would just buy the regular picks and make handles you can make sweet handles for them easy I will post some pictures of the handles I made for them. I like the handles I made better than the metal handles but I get a little better feed back from the metal handles.
