New To Picking...

Postby Ashweedo » 28 Aug 2008 6:32

I just joined this forum today and i am new to lock picking.I am very inexperienced as was wondering if you could, pardon the cliche, take me under your wing.

I have always had an interest in lock picking, since a very young age but didn't know where to begin.I have read through your forums many times and decided it was about time i joined you.

I hope you don't have a problem with a novice lock picker joining your site.I just don't know where to begin, should i make picks, or buy some locks etc.

Any advice you could give me would be greatly appreciated.

Hey. I've found a lot of information by searching these forums. A lot of your questions have probably been previously discussed. But don't get me wrong! There's nothing wrong with asking, you may get new information and/or a different perspective on something.

If you have to search for something and can't find it using the search function on the left ('cause I couldn't), try typing this in google search:

site:lockpicking101.com (topic you're searching)

so,

site:lockpicking101.com tension wrench

Have fun.

Your name gave me a good laugh. Sorry if it wasn't intended too.

If you are curious about what size to make your picks then this:
http://www.lockpicking101.com/viewtopic.php?t=17326 should be a good place for reference. If you are looking to buy try lockpickshop.com. They have alot of quality stuff I'm told.

I'm sure you have more questions, and I'm sure most of the members here are willing to answer them as long as you read the rules and do some searching for yourself. Have fun.
