Need to find supplier of push button entry lock

Postby Buggs41 » 28 Jul 2004 20:27

I am a new locksmith ( F-B ) in central Wisconsin. Part time for now. Full time when I get too old to be an electrician.

Does any one have a good lead on a push button mechanical entry lock? I have seen a decent dead-bolt lock on Ebay manufactured by NIB. But, I can't find them via a google search.

Any leads to other companies would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Buggs41

Try looking for kaba-ilco simplex. The model 1000 should be close to what you are looking for.

Hey Buggs...NIB means New In Box...The locks you are looking at on E-Bay are made by Lockey.

hehehehehe NIB, yes it means New In Box. your looking for simplex which is owned by the Kaba Ilco group so depending on your catalog it could be under Kaba, Ilco, or just simplex......the older catlogs would have listed it under Unican. Just some help if you need any other info let me know i regularly instal and service simplexs.

BTW...if you're looking for a residential push-button lock, the 7000 series Kaba Ilco/Unican Simplex will be your best bet. :)

Thanks for the info.

I still feel like a dummy for not knowing NIB was an acronym for New In Box. Shows I don't shop online too often.

I now have some good leads, and need to figure out which model I wish to purchase.

Again, Thanks!
