I think they still sell them on eBay.

If I remember correctly, there was talk about that a while back on this forum. I think the practics would be a little difficult, as you'de have to have all the measurements right and have the pick horizontally aligned and all that fun stuff. It would probably be more of a rake rather than a 'bump pick'. Pick guns work on the same concept, and are a bit more practical.

I'm not the best at physics, but does anyone think that it would be possible to adapt one of the emergency glass breakers to be a bump pick. I think that I've seen ones where if you apply enough pressure it will push the striker in far enough to release a spring, and then it will pop back out really fast.

I'm sorry if it's a sucky description, but my wife says that I'm not the best at describing things.

Are you talking about something similar to a spring-loaded centerpunch?

That's exactly what I was thinking of (centerpunch). I actually thought about this before, but couldn't think of a way to load the spring without pushing the key. I guess you could load the spring on the body, and have the shoulder "bump" the key, but you would need to know what height the spring releases at. That's why I was thinking of loading on the key itself, but that pushes the key to far to begin with. Okay, sorry for the run-on redundant post.
