It has been a few months since this thread was active. I'll try and start it up again - I'm new here and I am looking to get into the lock picking hobby as well as make a career change to locksmithing. I'm actually in the Tacoma area; whatever happened here with this group? Did you guys ever get anything tangible started?

d - are you in Alki? My sis lives out there. I'm unemployed for the most part at this point, maybe a meeting would be a good thing.

I know everyone's outside kayaking and rock-climbing while the weather holds, but a few of the people who've posted here may check back when winter dribbles in.
So let me offer to host an exploratory gathering, as I live on Vashon, which is convenient both for the Tacoma folks and for the Seattle folks. No sense in proposing further refinements until we see whether anyone's interested in meeting anywhere; if you are, post a follow-up, even if significant time has elapsed. And feel free to veto Vashon, which isn't everyone's cup of, ah, tea.
TW
Whate'er thou art, farewell; be like me pained,
Careless, farewell, with my fault not distained!
And farewell cruel posts, rough threshold's block,
And doors conjoined with a hard iron lock!

I used to be Shoreline, but I'm in Edmonds now. Let me know if we're going to do anything but wait for it to rain, drink coffee, and complain when it gets too hot outside.

I'm on the eastside and know of a couple more guys that would be interested. Been picking for a while and have gone to a few courses. Have all the basic tools. I'm only around for a few weeks and then I will be overseas until Christmas, would love to meet some guys to motivate each other and trade knowledge with.
I am currently working on hard impressioning and am going to start on molding/casting next.
Look forward to meeting some guys

UW student here looking for people to meet up with. PM me! I'm a beginner, but I can pick basic locks with ease. The hardest I can pick consistently is the schlage c cylinder.

Seattle guys, want to try a meet up just to get to know each other? I'm back home for next week and I know a good German bar off of 65th! I can be free one night during the week (wednesday would be best for me, but I can do Tue or Thur also)
any takers?
