Brinks solid brass padlock question

Postby djslacker » 27 Jun 2008 21:53

I finally picked my Brinks brass padlock with at least 3 spool pins (I can't remember for sure). I'm not sure of the model number but it's in this line of locks. http://www.lockcity.com/brinks/Products ... 20Padlocks

What are the chances that there is a serrated pin in this lock. As I picked the 5th pin, it felt like there were two false sets in it. It might have just been a weird spool that had "wider ends" and a "narrower middle" (I'm not sure of another way to say that.)

5 pins, at least 3 spools, I picked it pin by pin.

The pic is a little big so here's an offsite link.

there is AT LEAST 1 serrated pin in those locks, and possible spoorated pins. I can see the pin just barely on the first pin, and can see that its serrated.

Brinks is a big fan of the spoorated pins (spools with serrations at the top and bottom), it's likely all of the security pins in the lock are spoorated.
