warded locks (door)

Information about locks themselves. Questions, tips and lock diagram information should be posted here.

no one seems to answer questions in this thread. one more neglected post and I will be forced to make a new threead :\

So i understand trying to find the wards but other then that I understand I need to find a bolt and a lever (maybe), what do these things feel like? When im "poking" around in my few warded cabinet locks nothing gives.

help please

Go back through the threads & look at all the pictures, how to make the picks and so forth. Since I thought that this old discussion was for the older warded door locks, it should help you to visually examine them as best you can, and if they are old, it is quite possible they are stuck. Since you are working on cabinet locks, they are small (unless really antique) so I would check for threads for them or make a new question.
I have several door locks like these and the photobucket pics are great.

Great thread! really appreciate it. Was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for materials to make the key out of and tools to shape a harder steel like that. Seems like it would take more than a file. Appreciate your efforts guys!

So, are you done spam posting yet? Over 16 posts within 2 hours is a bit excessive...

I've got a couple warded locks I'm going to order to play around with. Is there anyway to determine which ones are the most popular? I liked the idea of having one or a few ground down keys for all the warded padlocks I have in use.

Thank you for the info
