Lost combination - Pacific Locks resettable combination lock

Postby Foogoo » 16 Nov 2008 1:01

I actually retrieved it from the trash after I watched the original owner take it new out of the box and accidentally push the shackle down (therefore resetting the combo) and forgetting the combo. It is the type of combo lock with four wheels. Once you get the right combo, you push down on the shackle and it pops open.

Is there a quicker method of resetting the combo or determining the combo other than going through all the numbers?

Most locks of this type are set to 0000 when they come out of the package. Try this and hope it works.

Four wheels, push down, that sounds like the variations on the corbin sesamee lock, If the 0000 combo doesn't work, look for the petersen mighty knife trick here on lp101, I think its around somewhere. you can make your own with a piece of .010" feeler gauge.
