Hi all,
Found my way here through the wonders of Google having seen a video on how to pick a padlock with a couple of paper clips. Tried it, it worked and the next thing I know I'm hooked. :)
Got myself a set of slimline Southord picks (C2010) the other day, and have now been finding some old locks to pick. Even helped the mother in law out with my newly found skills (lol!) by removing a padlock off a suitcase to which she'd lost the key. :)
Anyway, I hope to stick around and will no doubt be pestering you all, since I'm absolutely useless (only managed two locks so far) and only have a grasp of the very basics.
Great site though, really useful info. :)

Greetings all. Joined not long ago, and bought myself a set of SouthOrd picks. I am a hobby machinist, and have worked in computers for quite some time. It seems like if you really want to be a proper geek, you just can't go without learning a little lockpicking:) I have picked a lock once or twice, with a paperclip and bic pen cap. I have a complete lack of skill for it at this point, though:)
I have long had an interest in security, mostly as it relates to computers and networks. I'm at a point where I automatically try to figure out how to break any security I see. It makes for an amusing puzzle, at least.

Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself. The names Jeff.
I joined because I've always been intrigued with lock picking. I am a active duty Navy military member and I just needed something to keep me busy on my off time. And this is the perfect puzzle I needed.
So thanks everyone for keeping this site alive and well and thanks for putting out great information so I can read and learn.. eventually learn.

I hope to find mostly everything I need, information wise, and hope to talk to some of the veterans one day. Hope to meet everyone and ask a bunch of questions.
