Not sure how I can help, but welcome to the site. I'm sure someone'll give you some advise on defeating security pins and try looking through some of the older topics and stickies, might be something there that could help.

Anyway, welcome.

Many people think they can pick anything using the exact same method all the time. Try variations of the method and you might have more success.

It could simply be too much turning pressure or not enough.

Perhaps you need to use a hook instead of a rake....could be a thousand answers here.

I also think you could do well to make yourself a better tension wrench. When you need to start doing counter-tension on security pins it becomes alot easier with a quality wrench.

I agree with you on the tension wrench but what's "counter tension"?

howdy
I have been picking locks for a while and the best material I have found are dipsticks in cars. If you dont know what they are they are the oil checker and they are strong and really good to use. The problm is they hurt your fingers a bit but you can make handles if you need them.

hope this helps :D :D

When security pins false set you allow "counter-tension" from the pins and springs pushing back to their normal resting place to allow you to set the pins properly. This is explained in depth in many of the beginner picking stickies throughout the forums.
