im a beginner and i really want this as a beginners set. it looks good. has anyone had it or has it. is it good?

Those jack knife sets aren't really beginners sets, they usually don't get good reviews either. They don't give as much feedback when picking.

If I had to choose a beginner set from that site I would get one of each of the "Euro E-Series Picks" and some tension tools.

The euro set's are more thin so they give you more room in the keyway, but one downside for a beginner might be that they might bend easier.

There's other sites as well...

LP101's official sponsor is http://www.lockpickshop.com. For an absolute beginner I would recommend the 8, 11, or 14 piece Southourd sets available from their site. There is also a sticky that recommends various equipment for those just starting out.

i personally bought the picks a la carte and it was cheaper. search the forum you will see what ppl suggest. myself i use a hook and my twist flex the most
