hi so one of my customers has a vinguard lock and we are going to be switchin it to abloy mortise cylinder. anybody know what cam might be used on the back to activate the lock??
we just had around 200 vinglocks installed at work, I will have a look at one if I can and try get a picture but someone here will probably beat me to it
I just tried to search for vinglocks, with some idea that this is a punchcard keyed lock. All that came up was this thread, though I do believe that some discussion was about ving long ago. perhaps search has not actually searched all the posts. perhaps it only has the recent ones since the site change?
I found where all the spare ving locks are so I will bring my camera into work tomorrow and take a photo of the cam for you, do you need any other info on the lock?
Are we talking about vingcard locks, with a "c"? The hotel lock type? They do have a cylinder on them, Trioving, I think, it's a rim cylinder. Can't help with cam info though.
thanks for all your help but i beleive we have figured it out, i was asking for our mobile locksmith but she thinks she got the right one. i beleive she was going with just a normal schlage cam to see if it would work. I think that is what she was doing
