theres a website selling downward and upward pick guns.

couldnt i just turn a "upwards" one upside down to do the same as a "downward" pickgun.

:\ since when is there up and down pickguns, i thought there was just the one (up?).

you can turn your pick upside down, but to make things easier they have developed a downward firing gun. Not all pins are located at the top. On euro cylinders the pins are on the bottom. Plus you have to take into consideration the door handles themselves possibly geting in the way if you turn your snap gun upsdie down. EPG makes no difference.

You can get by without this, but its to make life easier for you.

I have never seen an Aussie lock mate as I live in the UK. Unless you post a pick of the type of lock you may encounter I cant advise you further. I know there are Australian members on this forum, so perhaps one of them will post.

nope, even though your upside down the locks are still up the right way, 99% of the locks in Australia you will find have the pins facing down, and the 1% of the time its normally because the builders put the lock on upside down, the handles shouldn't get in the way but sometimes I have had trouble with lever sets on entry doors because there isn't enoughf room to get the pick gun in the lock, the handle of the gun hits the door frame.

If I did have to use my pick gun on an upside down lock I would just turn the gun around the other way, or you can do what one of my friends would do and pretty much turn the top half of his body upside down :)
