I thought you were suppose to show us an explanation on how to open this lock. Maybe its gonna come later on anyway, would be a nice padlock to try.

Dunno, but it looks to me to be a "combination" lock, you simply set the correct numbers and it should open.
If that does not work, and it's a new lock then perhaps it's faulty ?
Hope that helps :-)

I don't pick combination locks. But I heard an interesting way of picking them (maybe it's mentioned here but as I sad I don't really pick these locks) Well you begin with the first number try all the numbers form 0-9 and when you a set a number pull the top and you will sense when its going out more than normal its the correct number and that's the way for all of the three numbers.

Not too sure about this lock in particular; however, for a lot of similar locks you can simply pull the shackle and rotate through the numbers until you find a number that is very loose. All the wrong numbers will be quite tight until the wheel becomes very loose, and that is typically the correct number.

If that doesn't work, you could try and visualize the disks that are located to the side of the wheel. Look for a notch or flat area. Once you line all the numbers up with this notch or flat area, and the lock still doesn't open. Just keep rotating the numbers in sync until it does. For example, you find a notch at numbers 2-5-7 but the lock doesn't open, then try 3-6-8, then 4-7-9, then 5-7-0 and so on.

Hope this helps!

not sure about yale combo locks but i know master combo locks
and many others...look down the side of the number wheel and you
can see either a line, a flat spot or just something different. line up all
3 and thencount up five and rotate it

Actually, it's not a combination lock, like a Master Lock and others, that's a Yale Multi Code Lock YP1/28/121. But thank you anyway! :)

I've not played with the Yale versions, but three-wheel combination "luggage locks" are pretty common... and almost all of them can be opened in the manner that people have described above. The locks you're asking about are pretty much the same as a Master Lock 620, 630, 633, 646 or 647.

Ok, I'll try to open by the ways above. And one more thing - if somebody interested, there's a page with Master Locks 620, 630, 633, 643, 646 and 647:

This recent thread might also be of interest: it shows a nice break-down of the internal components.

How do you think, how much does it cost?
Wish me good luck! :)

I bought a cheap code lock yesterday. It's a small nice lock with 3 weels made in China. I tried all the techniques from here, but I still can't open it. It works well with a combo, but I can't "pick" it. May be there's another ways to do that?
