Deadbolt practice lock

I appologize about the focus on some of these pictures. I am learning to pick, and bought a cheap deadbolt for practice. I found it neat (cheap?) that the top of the pin holes is covered with a metal clip that just snaps in place, no need to seperate the plug and hull to get to the pins, just open the cover. This side of the lock is for the interior side, no security pins.

For the curious, I *just* bought the exact same (or shockingly similar) lock. It's sold under the Kwikset brand, and I grabbed it somewhat at random off the shelf at Lowes.

johnl: How did you get that top clip off? I'm sure it's easy, but I'd like to do as little damage to the clip as possible.
