I am also new to lock picking itself. I spent hours learning how a lock worked and all the different types of locks and the picks.
I bought a 12 pick set nothing great just to start to learn. But I became alright with raking the pins. I feel this really isn't picking and want to really know how to not just to cheat it.
I am trying to pick a rather easy lock to rack so I figure it's a nice lock to start with, though I have some questions...
Can a pin get stuck to far up in the lock? Say I have to much tension on it and I pull the pin up to far, could it get stuck?
Also, what is a good way of learning to feel the pins? I can never tell if the pin is pick or not I learned that if it is pick the pin wont push back down it will just fall so I understand that but when I put the pick into the lock I can't feel where the last pin is or even the first pin is

Any tips?
Thanks
