Add a vacuum cleaner to your key cutting machine

A lot of power tools come with an attachment for connecting a vacuum cleaner tube, so why not your key cutter? Jusy come across this in patents:

It never ceases to amaze me what can be patented.

That is a good idea really. My only concern with it would be using it on a computer machine such as the ITL's as dry air moving at a high velocity with a metal or plastic tube may be asking for static electricity trouble which could destroy a machine with an onboard computer possibly. I could be wrong, but that is my only fear.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!

I wouldn't worry about static building up. The patent shows that the idea is encasing the cutting wheel so that only the cutting area is exposed and vacuuming from this little box.

At least the machines that have a metal casing should be grounded (that run off mains), so static can't buildup on these. But on the 12V models and not grounded (plastic casing) it is possible to charge it with static.
