The only Masterlock dimple lock I've seen is the 528, however I don't know where you would buy one because they appear to be police issue gun locks and not available to the public or something.

I "did the google" as well and can find no info. I'm guessing either it isnt made anymore, or master is calling the key something else (not dimple). If you could, please check out your friends lock, see if there are any marks on it that could aid in googling. Thanks!

You can see a dimple lock deadbolt being picked with a wooden coffee stirrer on you tube. I don't remember the name of the clip, but someone prepares the wood by breaking the fibers under the places that the pins endter it. try search terms dimple, wood, and pick, to find the clip

A while back I bought a cheap 7-pin tubular lock on ebay. It was like 3 bucks.. and then like 3 or 4 for shipping, so 7 bucks total. It was an arcade company selling it I believe. Ok, now that I look at it. It was like 6 bucks for shipping. There is the one I was talking about. http://cgi.ebay.com/7-8-TUBULAR-CAM-LOC ... .m20.l1116But if you just type in "tubular lock" in on ebay, you'll get a bunch of stuff for under 10 bucks.
