help making a pickset

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

help making a pickset

Postby cyber » 1 Feb 2009 8:39

I have a few home made set but they arnt all that great, im trying to learn how to make some decent picks but i always seem to mess up the pin push on the pick.
im still a newbie at picking =P

i was just wondering if anyone could help me with making a few picks mainly just for basic padlocks (4-5 pin basic padlocks) i have searched around but most of it is how to make the handle and so forth.

has anyone got any tut's for me?

thanks heaps and sorry about the lack of pictures of my locks and curent set.

use the templates from the site. heat transfer them onto hacksaw blades with a laser printer and paper. It's pretty easy. I prefer this method for easy picks because it's simple. Later on when you get better and bored you will make some interesting designs believe me.
