Looking for certain type of lock, has cogged discs.

Basically, I had an idea for a lock in my head the other day and was convinced it was my own fresh idea, but I do recall seeing a lock a loooong time ago which might be what i was thinking back to.

Basically the key has tracks on it like a straightened out clock gear.... the nthe discs inside are like clock gears with a bar that fits into the notches like on an Abloy.

Does anyone know the type of lock I am reffering to?

Fichet does a lot with gear wheels, like the new F3D, or the older 787. The keys don't have teeth, though.

I was thinking more of a barrel with about 10 discs and a key with serated tracks
