The info the FrenchKey has given is a very welcome addition to the site as French locks are an item that we lack since Jimmie has been busy and not around the forums much lately. Unfortunately, the description the FrenchKey has given is as far as I can let discussion of picking/decoding the lock go in the open forums. Any information that is more in depth than what is posted will have to be moved to the advanced forums. What is already posted is honestly past borderline but since we lack information on French locks I am going to leave it up in the open forums.
For the best book out there on high security locks and their operation, take a look at amazon.com for High-Security Mechanical Locks An Encyclopedic Reference. Written by our very own site member Greyman! A true 5 Star read!!
