South Jersey - I want to be an Apprentice

Postby Knifeguy » 2 Mar 2009 22:45

I'm not sure if this is even a great place to post, but this is the only forum I can find right now to contact locksmiths.

Do any locksmiths in the south jersey area need some shop help? I REALLY would like to apprentice in a shop to see if I like all aspects of the trade. I'm not going to post a 3 page interview.. but in a nutshell.

I am 38, married. self employed with a very successful service business with over 600 regular customers I work with through out the year. I have been a volunteer firefighter for 20 years and I'm a stand up, honest, hard working, family guy. I can get my schedule down to about 3-4 days a week and am looking to get into something I really enjoy. I'd love to work for a LS a few days a week for a while. Nights and weekends are great, or I can work around any schedule.

I learn fast and enjoy learning. I like to be challenged as well as work with people. I have no desire to start a LS business. Owning one business in NJ is plenty for me. BUT I do have an extensive customer base ( commercial businesses )that I could call upon to boost the right LS business. Might be a great combination.

If anyone in the Phila , NJ area knows of a LS willing to train and pay a reasonable adult, please have them email me. We can talk and see if we are looking for the same things.

I love this forums guys. I have already devoured a bit of the info as well as everything I can find online. My lockpick video / pic kit get here this week :-) Time to start playing with those Home Depot locks.

Paul

Your best bet is to call locksmiths listed in your local phonebook and talk to them.
