Mul-T-Lock 3-in-1

I recently got a euro style Mul-T-Lock 3-in-1 and I was wondering if anyone new exactly how the lock gets re-keyed. I know when you put in the new keys (yellow then red) it changes the combination to fit the new key but I am wondering if there is some extra mechanics or something to help accomplish that.

It is just a type of construction (or lost ball) keying. They use a disc though (I think).
