would like to know if you are picking mushrooms...
i think i will pop the sidebar out of one of my medeco cylinders...

Try picking a Schlage Primus without a sidebar next. The tolerances in that lock is so tight that even with the sidebar out it can still be a challange. The feedback is very very minute and subtle.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

yeah,i had one,(a padlock) but traded it away, not knowing how badly i would want it in the future...
one will come my way some day, i am sure, and i will most definitely try it w/o the side bar.
also i have a scorpion padlock, which is somewhat similar,in the fact that they carry side milling operated stumps and finger pins,
but the tolerances are questionable... :|

I've played with a Scorpion before. The tolerances arn't even close to the Primus, way too sloppy. You can probably find a couple Primus locks on eBay. Most of them come with keys.
