What can be posted here?

I'm an Australian locksmith, mainly specialising in high security and transponder vehicles. I've got lots of tips and tricks for picking, bypassing and otherwise opening high security vehicle locks(some of which I'm willing to divulge, some not), now from the content I see here, this forum seems to mainly deal with basic pin tumbler and wafer locks, and the basic tips and tricks for picking.

So really, what I'm asking is what can I post here? am I limited to the topics covered, or can I post some of my high security stuff here?

Well automotive entry is not discuss here. That information could be used in "less than legal" ways. There are advanced fora where you could share this information, however you need over 40 quality posts and be a member for over 3 months.

It's not a personal thing, your expertise is greatly appreciated, however not in the public part of the forum

Basically what he said. Stick around a while, talk about "normal security" than apply to the advanced section. I'm sure someone with your knowledge would not have any issues in 3 months.

I feel ya. There have been a fair number of posts/questions that I've seen and just not felt comfortable enough yet with exactly where the line gets drawn, so I err on the side of conservatism and walk away from the question - or skirt around it.

When in Rome...

Welcome, N00b, from another N00b [that, like you, really isn't ;) ]

Fourty fairly good general information posts around here is pretty easy. A few hundred in a few months should be fairly easy, imho. :)

Thanks for the answers guys, I just didn't want to go to the trouble of writing an essay on the inner workings of a high security locking system and it's weaknesses only to have it deleted. I'll hang on to that information til I can get access to these other forums.

If you're going to be writing big long essays, might want to save them locally. You never know when your browser might crash or something else will go wrong to eat a lovingly crafted post.

Naw, it wouldn't of got deleted. I'm sure someone would of just been moved to the advanced section and it would have been waiting for your arrival.

To those who were wondering what is OK and what is not you don't ever have to guess. Feel free to PM any of the moderators for clarification if you have something you want to post. It's what we are here for. :)
