I personally wear a pair of non steel toed 14-up Doc Martens, got the support I'm used to from a higher boot and far more comfortable than the army surplus boots I used to use. I don't lift anything larger than a laptop really.

I am in the UK (London) and always have worn MAGNUM boots, the service issue police tactical boot, best buys from MAGNUMENFORCER on ebay

they are light weight, comfortable and wear well and look smart

plus if you wear them out they are airport friendly and you get the look as peopl think you are old bill and stear clear LOL
