Worst Homebrew Picks

Postby ToolyMcgee » 11 May 2009 20:30

I thought there may be a small interest in a thread to showcase pick making failures. You know, maybe help boost the confidence of anyone reluctant to even try. At the very least a cheap laugh at my expense. This is an attempt below my 100th, and above 50.

I was dead sober when I made this attrocity, and the worst part is many of the 50 or so before it were hooks made in a reach style. Not since my first 5 had I worked in hacksaw blade, so that may have been a factor, but really that doesn't excuse the fact I put a handle on this monster

You've seen me at my worst. Let's see what you got.

That would work good for picking some of the backsides of your teeth, and scraping some of that dog stuff out of the little grooves in yer shoe.

Sickle - is that what happens when someone tickles you so hard you throw up?

Errr, forget I posted. I haven't a thing to contribute. Sorry. I guess I could take pictures of my first picks made like twenty something years ago...

This was my very first attempt, I'm surprised I could find it actually. I'd never even used a grinder before, and this particular grinder was covered in dust and looked like it was at least 40 years old. I kind of plugged it in then poked it with a stick to turn it on. Worked out OK as I'm still here to tell the tale.
