Crappy old weiser lock I clamped in a bench vise. Took me an hour and drove me nuts. If they take more than a couple minutes now it's a major suprise.

Just did my first pick tonight...have done about 5 times tonight and i have done a padlock tonight...yah..i took advice in on of the forms and made my own pick and tortion wrench out of loose rake fingures. My fist pick was with bobby pins. I did the padlock tonight for the first time in about 10-15 minutes.

First pick.... 4 wafer desk lock with some paperclips. Took about a minute to really bend the clips right, then about 30 seconds to pick. My first pin tumbler lock was a Kwikset deadbolt cylinder that a locksmith friend handed me with some picks and said "lets see you pick it" not knowing that I knew, theoretically, what I was doing. 30 seconds later.... open.

I started on a 5 pin Ilco cylinder. Took me about a day. I got it quite unexpectedly - I was chatting with a friend on AIM, and picking between typing messages, and all of a sudden it worked!

I picked my first lock today. yesturday i made some tools with the dremal and a file and then today i went to the store and picked up a basic master pad lock. 4 pins nothing to hard. i was just messing around with it trying to get the right amount of tention and in about 5 min *pop* it came open. now i can do it in under a min only a few hours of practice too. im gonna wait till i can do this one with ease everytime then move on to other locks

My first one took me about a hour. I was pressing too hard on the pins at first and too much tension on the plug. I guess I learned the hardway.
I don't work, I participate.

About 2 days, although I am using safety pins.

I did the same thing. It's pretty funny in a way though.
