FWIW, defiant is one of those kwikset clones, commonly found at home depot. I put one on my bedroom door to keep out casual/accidental trespassers. You can probably punch through the cheap interior door easily, but that takes a little bit of effort - hopefully enough to make you think "oh, that's not the bathroom" or "ok, this really is off-limits during the party."
But like Tigerdragon says - we strongly discourage picking in-use locks, especially when you're inexperienced. There's a good chance you'll break something, either part of the lock or part of whatever it is that you're using as a tool. Call a locksmith or your maintenance person, and learn lockpicking at some lower-stress time - like when you're not locked out of your room.
