I'm new to LP101. I'm a military contractor in a field that relys on Non-Destructive Entry for certain issues. I'm here to broaden my education in the field because the day you stop learning is the day you've failed as a professional.

Hai everyone, every member who came before me >.<,

LP101 seems to be a interesting site, it's so informative. I read a book about locks and didn't think too much about them.... until yesterday when I got locked out of my house for reasons I won't say. Luckily my dad was home, I actually worried for a bit. Lock picking always interested me, even if locks themselves didn't. I needed a way to get into my bro's room when he locks it, a safer way besides climbing though the window @.@. I doubt LP will be easy as they seem on T.V. but I got the time and patience! And my bro's comp hehe.... I'm just a simple 13 year old bored girl, who's gonna rule locks all around the world!! >:3 I can't really say if I'll be active here, maybe I'll do some lurking around.

Did I write too much?

Hi guys,
Just joined and am working my way through all the rules, tuts and advice before I post etc.
I just want to say well done to the rule of 3 months and 40 quality posts before advancing. This i'm sure will help to keep the forum productive.
As for me I'm an old newbie at 57 , self employed joiner here in the uk.
Missus said to me last week get a hobby pete.....Maybe, I said, but to be honest cant see myself collecting stamps or beermats etc. Then I came across this place....Nice one guys this is a real hobby to persue (did I spell that right?)
So with your permission Ill start the long road of learning and practice and of course enlighten you with my successes and failures which I'm sure the experienced among you will be bored to death of hearing....
I'll try to inject a little humour as I go along because learning should be fun. Many thanks again for all this hard work putting together this site and looking forward to my first attempts,
best wishes,
pete

Hello, My Name is BovineMage, and it's my first time actually joining a forum concerning anything lock picking.

I've always had an interest in lock picking, ever since I've seen the movies where the action heroes pick their way through locks, and all those videos games with "lock picking" minigames in them. Since then, I've learned that lock picking is much, MUCH different from what you see in the media, but I only have a cheap 5 piece set and a small, small little tiny padlock that I scrub for fun; now I want to get serious about this.

Please to meet all of you guys!

Hi LP101 users!

Just something alittle about myself: I started getting into this hobby after being locked out of the house a couple of times. Did I make more spare keys? Nope, bought a starter lockpick kit, some locks, and found this awesome forum for info. Hopefully I'll get good enough to be able to contribute to it too.

Hello,my name is Paul.I have been pinning and installing locks for a few years, and repairing them to.Mainly Sargent and Schalge also some Kwiksets and Best.Padlocks Abus,Master and American. Cut keys by code on the Blitz at work, the key man.The fellow before me showed me how to do things.Just like before him,we were all like self taught.I took a intrest in it.have used shim picks a lot, then one day cleaning up found a hpc pick set,did not no what all they did,so got online.Thats how i found this site.To me now it is easier openning a cyl. with the tension wrench and pick rather then a shim.Thank you for all info.Deffinetly want to progress in this feild.

i just figured it was about time i joined.

hope to help as many people as i can and learn as much as possible

a bit about me. im in the army sorking in a signal unit. i am the battalion locksmith for the fun of it and ill have a non profit lockout shop as soon as i get back to the states (we are deployed right now)

when im out of the army i will have my own shop... thats the plan anyways

ive been picking for about 6 years and ive only came across 1 lock i cant open. altough i havnt came across any high security stuff just everyday locks.

soon i will order high security locks to play with

things im here to learn about are some advanced picking techniques and im interested in cracking safes. ive designed some high tech safe tools and im here to c if anyone has anything like this

Well I'm not new, but I have been inactive for more than a year now. I'd like to let you know that im still alive...

I was working for a locksmith but due to the econemy I was laid off. For now im working as a bus boy.

I dont have internet access at home so I dont surf the internet very often anymore. But this site has had a major impact on teaching me to pick locks. This and the mit guide to lockpicking.

Has anybody started a locksport group in eastern northcarolina yet? If so someone please drop me a line

Thanks
Wolfman
