LockNewbie21 wrote:Well Its a process, intial tacking is done with an idustial bonding agent thats all, gotta keep you guessing mate :P . but keeping it a strong hold takes one thing surface prep 100%.

It takes time mate, and even before you worry about handels, the right metal with the wrong handel is worthless. Like a peterson gem with a rubber handel.. I would just conver the handel in fiberglass resin and once its cured, sand it and give it a clear coat.. or paint and clear to be fancy.

Its all about what you want to accomplish. you need designs, and prrof to back there worth, or else the outcome will be like SO and all the other comercial companys, although good.. nothing special, maybe a facy handel or metal treament.

im going to guess somthing along the lines of jb weld or metal epoxy. whos to say though =)

Just ordered my first set of homebrew picks from LockNewbie21. I must say they look amazing. I will post a full review when I receive them.

Yes, Locknewbie21 is definitely bringing sexy back with that pick on the right. So how can one tell when you have enough hooks?

A man after my own heart! :P

My personal belief is if you can handle a hook or feeler pick with confidence and skill, the factor of "Luck" is greatly reduced to "simple skill". You find yourself relying less on the probability of a lock opening, and more or inebitability. Don't get me wrong raking does take skill to, but I've learned as my skill increased and also the difficulty of the locks I was undertaking, my skill and knowledge of pin by pin maniplulation was invaluable, as compared to that of simply raking a lock and hoping for the best.

This is why I take so much pride, and seriousness with each feeler design.

Just some word's of wisdom from an old-head young grasshopper's :P
