carry case for home made picks?

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

I'll tell you what I use as my self made pick case. It's very easy. Go find an inexpensive lockblade, bitchblade, etc from an inexpensive store. I picked up mine at a surplus store here in Albuquerque.. Just take the knife out of the little belt hook case and there you go! mine is about 5- 5 1/2" long and about an inch wide. Has a loop on the back to hook on your belt! Let me know if you find one!!

Sincerely, Pickinboogies

I actually make a pick case for eatch of my sets out of cordura... it's a durable fabric that is water proof...

A long time ago I had a business that made bags to cover the parking meters in the city so I have alot of this fabric. I just whip out the sowing machine and sow me up a pick case for each set I get/make.

I never liked the idea of the picks bangin up aginst eachother in a case so all mine have there own little pocket. I use velcro to fold a flap down so I don't have to push a snap down ontop of the picks.

necromancing at all?

I've been thinking about making a cheap pocket case using a thin piece of cardboard/wood/other stiff material, and tightly affixing a plastic or cloth pocket to the outside. good for flat picks, not so good for wrenches, perhaps some loops on the back?

Locksmith Army could become the custom pouch maker for this site. :D
Are you useing the 1/4hp Pfaff Machine, thats what I used when I worked auto upholstery back in the seventies.

make a pouch that fits in a baseball cap, and follows the lines so it won't look like you have something in your hat. 8)

no Im using an ancient brother with an industrial needle... one that is a table when closed and if you lift the top you can pull the sewing machine out...

my father is a sewing machine collector so all I have are antiques lol(which is an odd hobby since Ive never seen him sew... he likes to fix the antiques.

when Im back in the states I would be happy to make cases for members... but I dont have a sewing machine here. I could call my mom and ask her to make them but thats a little extreme

That new uniform baseball cap in the pixelated blue/green cheese pattern comes with a pocket in the cap already, perhaps your mom could just sew on some narrow sleeves to the inside of it?

er, no, we'll leave yer mom out of it, she already has a lot to do 8)

yeah my hat has this pocket aswell but I find if you put anything harder than paper in it it hurts the top of your head or makes an abvious shape in your hat. a pocken in the corner of the hat would be better because that is far from you head.
