KLOM Gun plug spinner

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

KLOM Gun plug spinner

Postby Eyes_Only » 14 Nov 2009 17:54

I just got the spinner gun made by KLOM, http://dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.16415 . Couldn't find a review of any kind for this tool in SEARCH so here's my little input.

It's not too shabby even though the price is low. The "trigger" part of the tool tends to stick a little, before or right after use, but you can pop it back in place after a few quick pull on it.

The tips it comes with is kinda crappy, just some pieces of metal that is held in place on the "nose" of the tool by a magnet. But it's strong enough the stay put even under use. Most of the tips are a bit too thick to fit in most keyways but a little trimming with a file or grinder should fix that.

This thing does pack quite a punch so you'll want to familiarize yourself with its use before using it on any precious practice locks.

Over all its a pretty decent tool. Although I like my DINO spinner I got from http://www.LockPicks.com way better cos the quality is higher, but it's a good back up tool that can still hold it's own. I keep it hidden away in may car cos I don't want to risk a car break in with my DINO spinner in there.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

I have the same plug spinner.

Pretty cool.

I bought this cheap one because I don't really use it that much (the only time I thanked to have it was when my dad locked himself out of a storage house he owns. I had to pick it to the other side because of the space avaliable), but for the price I thought it was a great addition to my tools.

I find it to fit most locks even being in Europe (slimmer keyways).

I agree with you in all the rest :)

Overall it's worth the price (and then some!)

Be safe!
Go ahead, keep plugging away, picking on me! You will end up on bypass or with rigor mortise.
