Schlage SFIC key blanks needed

Postby jasonthekey » 12 Nov 2009 19:25

I recently bought a box of Schlage SFIC's without pins or keys I was told it has a B 125 keyway but i can not find anywhere that sells these so I'm in need of 70-80 blanks, so if anyone out there can help it would be greatly appreciated. I will post some pictures to help identify the keyway and what not

I'm about 99% certain that they are restricted blanks. You probably won't be able to get your hands on any....sorry.

The number 80-036 indicates Everest restricted keyway.

OK if its a restricted keyway then can someone provide me with pre-cut keys: 2 operating and 1 control key for each I'm looking to pin them up in sets of four so I would have a total of 8 operating keys and 4 control keys for each set and that would be 5 sets in total

Restricted means that the keys are only supplied by the factory to the registered end user.

The only thing you might be able to try is getting in contact with someone from schlage, finding out who is authorized to use that keyway, and trying to convince them to part with a couple. Good luck.

Restricted means nada. It just means you can't get OEM blanks. However, the EVEREST is patented, therefore nobody can legally make compatible blanks, therefore... aside from getting them from someone who already has the blanks and cut their ties with Schlage Lock Co, you're not going to find them.

The way ive done this in the past is to find out who has a contract for a given restricted keyway, and sent that locksmith a few cylinders to rekey and provide new keys. for a system like schlage, you can pin the rest yourself with a conventional pin kit afterwards.
