For reference I put my very outdated web page back online. It is mostly for key collectors. Did updated it a little in February but that was the first time in 8 years.
Amazing collection... very well organised aswell. Everything there is really interesting or unique, I'm impressed. How long have you been collecting, and do you collect locks aswell or just keys?
Thanks - Have been collecting for a long time. I also collect locks and builders hardware. About 10 years ago I shattered my shoulder and built the web page to kept me out of trouble because I could not go to work. One handed typing was slow.
Ouch, I can imagine! Although... what kind of trouble would you be getting into with a shattered shoulder?
Do you plan on putting up any lock pics? If they're as cool as some of those keys, I'd love to see what you've got, as I'm sure everyone else here would too.
its crazy cause my work computers wont let me view your site... they say "personal site" but they will let me view my sites... Hrmm?
Im excited to see it though. My mom has been a key colector forever(way before I was born) so when I get a lock with 4 keys I send her one, just the odd keys like the 3KS and unique ones like that
A great collection. I particularly dig the Solomon Andrews 1836, the Fire Department (New York) Key, the Johnson's Rotary Lock Key and, for sheer its audacity, the Thunderbird (1952 - 1964). I can see why the Lillie is in your wanted list; what an awesome looking key, reminiscent of some hulking deep space battle cruiser in a a sci-fi movie. Or maybe that's the way my twisted mind works. A great collection, either way.
I would like to thank everyone who stopped by. Someday I will update my web page with locks and update the keys, especially the car key sections. Right now there is not enough hours in the day.
LocksmithArmy, that is great that you share the hobby with your Mom. Right now none of my boys are interested in locks or keys. Taught one of the boys to pick locks and he was better then me, but he lost interest.
