My homebrew Hacksawblades Picks

When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.

My homebrew Hacksawblades Picks

Postby BIGORNEX » 28 Nov 2009 13:11

OK, it has been a moment since I am registered without ever having written a single word...
I thus go " try to catch a little" all this past Time. But it is necessary to know since all this past time I grind and file on a lot of hacksawblades.

I'll present you my Picks. :D

At first :

Hope the next Pic is OK, It is what I printed for those there.
I forgot to make one.

I am a bad photographer but they have the good measure, I manage to open locks with. :(

And next the second series:

I use an empty tube of vitamins to transport them easily.

I really like what looks to be a set of auto jigglers that you've made.
If a lock is a puzzle, then its key is the complete picture

You have a TON of picks. Nice! What handle do you like the most? What are the handles in the first pic made of?

Hi BIGORNEX,

in this months you wrote nothing but worked a lot! Congrats.
I like the handles just on the sides of your first set. You get a lot of feedback directly from the metal part of the pick: good idea!

Cheers :)

Just a question... :? Have anybody tried this product to color picks in black after the polishing ?

- http://www.shopwiki.com/B%2Fc+Psp+Prest ... 0NJXUZA%29

Is this a good product ?
Don't know if I can buy it in Europe...
I am going to try at the local gunsmith's

It seems to me rather easy to use.

Thanks for all the Replys....

Eyes_only : Yes they are " auto jigglers "

cppdungeon : The Handles from the firt Picks are wooden Icecream Sticks, glued with " Gorillaglue (?) :? ".

femurat : The Feedback of this Picks is effectively very great...

Very nice bunch of picks.

I think even properly done gun blueing will sometimes rust. Check with your local gunsmith, he might be able to treat your picks for a small amount of money. The pen you showed might be good just for small scratches.

Blueing is a chemical process, I'm not sure that a touch-up pen really replicates that, so much as being a filler.
