Who's Who?

Postby zendude » 23 Dec 2009 7:55

coming from denmark, where about 80% of all locks ruko http://www.ruko.dk/dk/site/rukodk/Produkter/Cylindre/
90% of these are 5 or pin tumblers(serie 500 and 600), looking at theire site i see they are part of the abloy/assa company, they sell yale pads, and apperntly they are doing some kind of buisness with Mul-T-lock(both Assa,Ruko and Mul-T-Lock uses the Cliq system)
stiil being a blazing amateur i was wondering if anyone had a gloryfied owerviev on the whole cyllinder marked, and maybe even some insight on which cyllinders is specific to wich companies(e.g. is the 500 & 600 series made by ruko before they became assa/abloy or is it just another lock with ruko stamped om it)
ok, i know its kind of an open question, but i think there is a lot to be learned bout the lock by knowing who made it, can even be helpful with rip-off locks(just bought a Ruma 50 beliving it was a nice ruko, and man does those designers know how to write brand names alike.)
- A good lock makes a great illusion of security -

Wow what a dick thing to say man... He's from Copenhagen.. Sure they speak English but they also speak another language.

Please remember this is an international forum and some members from time to time may reach out to us in English that is the best they can do in order to ask their question.

Yeah, lets play nice, don't be quick to step on someones mistake, its much better if people are handled with common respect, and typos happen to the best and the worst,

Generally if you have something negative to say, its best to just pass that and realize that some day you will also be wrong about something. Pointing out a mistake should be done gently and with respect but as far as spelling goes, if you understood the thought, the rest is unimportant.
