Locked out of My Safe

Well, I figured I'd post it here since I can't get into the advanced forums.

You can, I believe, either open it by entering a five-or-so series on the top keypad, otherwise, you can open it via a key. Both are lost to me :-\, and I was wondering if I could get into it non-destructively. If the only way is to destroy it, I might leave that for another day (all it really has is one of my handguns in it), but I'd still like it if someone could explain it.

Bah, I just found the key. Nevermind, I guess. (Although it would be good to know if you can bypass the lock)

More along the lines you should of kept your mouth shut in the first place, and not even posted asking about this...

You have been a member here more than long enough to know the site rules, the advanced forums information, and what is not to be posted in the public forums. Yet, you still post a thread in the public forums.

Users cannot delete or edit (most) of their own threads for this very reason- so moderators and admins can see what a user really posted, if they decide they want to delete/edit it. Works really good for when someone breaks site rules.

If you found the key- replace the whole lock mechanism. Easier than trying to bypass something that that could be critical to saving your life. (if someone were to break into your residence..)

Instead of deleting it, I'm going to lock it so everyone can see for themselves how you tried to get safe info from the open forums even though you clearly knew it was inappropriate. Sound good?
